Why two words to say the same? Both can be used to say that something is difficult but this doesn’t explain why is so.
I’ve thought a little about the explanation given by Phil and I think he is right, his explanation is complicated but it’s not complex.
Now I’m going to explain myself what I understand by complex and complicated.
Something is Complex when has many items and is difficult to describe, Could I have used”hotchpotch” ( i.e a “resort” is a complex site for tourism is not a complicated site)
Something is Complicated when is difficult to understand even if it’s very simple, (i.e mathematical or astronomical theories).
If you don’t understand, sorry, is my fault, for not explaining myself better.
The matter that Phil is given us here is awesome, I love it because it prompts us to think about words, their meanings and how we’ve’ learned them from our childhood. I’d like to go on but I think my time now must be over but before I want to appreciate Phil by his awesome work.
